Hoodia 10 Day Diet Pills Anyone?

Okay, so my friend gave me a pack of her pills from her box of a 10 day diet with Hoodia pills. There are 10 in a pack. How many should I take, and what time? Do you guys know the side effects of them, and do you think they'll work?

Answer:
If this is the same 10 Day Hoodia Diet made by Applied Nutrition, then here are the directions that came directly from their website:

(Adult) take one (1) soft-gel three times daily with meals and a full glass of water for 10 days. For extra results, take two (2) soft-gels three times daily as directed. If caffeine keeps you up at night, do not take this product in the evening, since it contains natural caffeine.

As for side effects of this product, I wouldn't expect that you'd have any other than the usual side effects that sometimes occurs from caffeine products - potential "caffeine jitters" and possibly not being able to get to sleep at night if you're especially sensitive to caffeine. If you don't normally experience negative effects from other caffeine products (i.e. sodas and coffee) then you should be fine.

The hoodia gordonii that is used in the 10 Day Hoodia Diet product has no known side effects to date. Although there have been some people who have complained of having an upset stomach when taking hoodia. Other than that, hoodia itself has been proven to be a safe supplement. Keep in mind, however, we don't know what the long term side effects are.

As for whether or not 10 Day Hoodia Diet works, I doubt it. The primary ingredient in this product is hoodia, but there is not much of it and it's in the form of an extract. There is a lot of debate whether or not hoodia extracts are better than traditional capsules, but from the research I've uncovered, it seems the traditional capsules that contain the powder form of hoodia gordonii is more effective.

Even if hoodia extracts are as good (or better), 10 Day Hoodia Diet only has 300mg of hoodia gordonii in 3 gels. That is not going to be enough to suppress appetite (which is what hoodia gordonii does). Experts say it could take as much as 3,000mg per day of hoodia gordonii to suppress appetite. Not all people will need that much, but most will need at least 1,000mg. So if you're taking 9 gel caps per day of this product, that would only be 900mg of hoodia gordonii.

The other concern I have about 10 Day Hoodia Diet is that there is absolutely no evidence that it contains authenic hoodia gordonii. The most effective hoodia diet pills contain 100% authentic hoodia gordonii. Companies that sell authentic hoodia gordonii diet pills will show all the certifications and lab tests to prove that they are using authentic hoodia gordonii. When I went to the Applied Nutrition website, the makers of 10 Day Hoodia Diet, they don't provide any certifications, documents, or lab test results to prove they are using the real deal.

I'm not saying they aren't using authentic hoodia gordonii, but it's odd that they don't provide any of this information on their website. I also find it odd that they are giving away a free sample of this product. Hoodia gordonii is very expensive. So much so that companies cannot afford to give it away for free. If they were using authentic hoodia gordonii, they wouldn't be able to afford to give samples away. And if they are using authentic hoodia gordonii, they are using so little of it that they can afford to give away free samples.

Based on the checklist, which I use everytime I analyze a hoodia supplement, 10 Day Hoodia Diet doesn't "pass the test" in my books.
