There's a lot of different diet plans out there and each one works well for some and not so much for others. Determine this first - do you carry most of your excess weight in your middle? If so you are insulin resitant and should follow a low glycemic diet. If you find most of your weight on the lower part of your body then low fat is the best plan. Although even with low glycemic you should always watch your intake of saturated and trans fats. Cut out all fast food, drop your cokes or any other caloric beverage except skim milk and green tea. You do not have to starve yourself or kill yourself with aerobics to lose weight. It takes time just as it did to put it on. Change your eating habits first! Research(google) the low glycemic diet or the fat smash diet. Start exercising everyday for at least 30 minutes, even if it's just a walk, you need to move your body. As you drop weight you'll have tons of energy and will feel like doing more exercise so you can figure out what you like and go from there. Also you'll want to work in some strength training because muscle eats up fat! Having muscle allows us to be able to burn more calories. Diet pills don't work but healthy eating(the right way for your body type) and moving your body does =)

If you use diet pills be sure to carefully read instructions and ask your regular doctor. Best way is to go on a diet, with excercise.
A recent study suggested that you can diet, or exercise, or a combination of both. So, if you like to eat, then just exercise,. If you don't like to exercise, then you have to diet. In either case you either need to reduce the calories you consume, or burn them off, or a healthy mixture of both. Other studies suggest that a reduced calorie intake can cause longer life. Depends on whether you want to be old for a long time.
i exersice everyday for about 2 hours a night. they work too.
im not sure if diet pills do work.

The best way is to reduce your caloric intake to below 1600 per day, and excercise...it really does work. If you work out at least 3 - 5 days a week for an hour (doing both cardio and weight training) you will see a difference in about 30 days. It's a constant struggle, that I go through everyday. But, in the long run, the working out gives you more energy and a overall healthier feeling. Good luck. But I would stay away from the over the counter diet pills.
