See if GNC has their own brand of hoodia. There's a good chance that it'll be real hoodia in that case. Else, you run the risk of buying fake hoodia.
When people are looking for hoodia, GNC is usually the first place they go because they are so well known. However, they aren't a very good place to go at all when it comes to hoodia diet pills.
Why? Because I'd be willing to bet that all of the hoodia supplements at GNC contain very little, if any, hoodia gordonii.
I've been researching hoodia diet pills for the past year and none of the hoodia products at GNC have "passed the test." Their most popular hoodia product, hoodia dex-l10, claims to have 500mg of hoodia gordonii per capsule.
However, you cannot find any evidence that they contain authentic hoodia gordonii. If you visit their website, http://www.hoodiadexl10.com/ , you'll notice it doesn't even exist anymore (at least it was down the few times I tried to pull it up).
That's a huge red flag, obviously. I've seen their website in the past and they don't provide any documentation that shows they use authentic hoodia gordonii. I couldn't find any CITES certificates, growers permits, or independent lab test results to "prove" it contains authentic hoodia gordonii.
I've also checked out the other hoodia products at GNC such as TrimSpa, RapidSlim, Slimage, SmartBurn, and H57. None of these products provide documentation that proves they contain authentic hoodia gordonii.
Another red flag is the cheap prices these products are being sold for. Real hoodia gordonii is very expensive. So expensive, that companies that sell diet pills that contain authentic hoodia gordonii cannot afford to "give" their products away. The hoodia diet pills that contain authentic hoodia gordonii will cost you about $60 per bottle. Most of the products at GNC sell for much less than that.
