Do prescription diet pills exist?
Question:
(I know that sounds like A WHOLE LOT, and it is..but i dont look as terrible as your probably thinking...my pants size is a 13..which is terrible - but for weighing 195lbs, it seems like the size should be a lot bigger. I have a lot of muscle, i'm thinking thats what makes the scale go up. either way, i do have a lot of gross fat on my body and it has to go!)
I recently read a post that asked about prescription diet pills. Do these exist?
I eat VERY healthy (lots of fruits and veggies...etc..) and I've been exercising 1 hour a day for about 3 weeks now. My weight is not moving at all. Do you think I should consult my doctor about a diet pill?
Answer:
There is prescription diet pills, If you want to take a look at my question I am using a pill called phentermine, but there is side effects and the possibility of gaining back the weight like all pills. Keep trying the exercise and eating healthy you will loose a lot less but what ever you loose wont come back for a lont time at least that's what I've heard.
Eating healthy is great, but if you want to lose weight, you also need to eat less. Diet pills will help you lose weight, but one drawback to them is that they don't help you change your lifestyle. Anyone can lose weight. The hard part is keeping it off. Once you lose the weight, you will stop using the pill. Then what happens? Unless you change your habits now, you will gain the weight back.
Seeing your doctor is a great way to begin. He/she can advise you if a prescription diet pill will be a good option now. But this shouldn't be your first choice. Try keeping track of everything you eat, and count calories. If after a week, you don't lose any weight, lower your calorie intake. And continue exercising.
It does take time. Just be patient. Ideally, you should lose no more than 1 to 2 pounds a week. Anything more than that is not healthy.
