What are the best diet pills to buy from a drug store?
Question:
Anyone had significant weight loss with any specific brand?
Answer:
DO NOT TAKE DIET PILLS! They are dangerous!!
Last year I was visiting my parents and took diet pills (Leptopril -does not contain ephedra) on top on my exercise routine and normal diet. I was 26 at the time, 5'11, 180 lbs. By week three I was sick. I had diarrhea, dry heaves, dizziness, headaches, and a general feeling of being sick. I thought I had caught the flu or something. I had lost 13 lbs in 4 days. One morning I told my mom I didn't feel good. My vision kept blacking out and I felt (for lack of a better way to say it) stoned. Later that afternoon I was walking from the bathroom to my bedroom (a 5 foot walk) and I passed out. I was rushed to the hospital emergency where they did a bunch of tests on me.
My pulse was up to 120, My blood pressure was 150/40, they had to start me on an IV, the did an EKG on me, took blood and urine samples, and a whole barrage of other tests.
They finally got me stabilized and said that I was dehydrated and malnutritioned. I told him that I took diet pills. When I mentioned diet pill, the doctors face lit up and said that's why. He said they can cause a whole bunch of health problems, including death. He told me to toss the diet pills or next time I might not be so lucky.
I was kept in the hospital for almost 10 hours, given 3 or 4 IVs, potassium, juices, and monitored (by the EKG, blood pressure, and heart rate machines) every 15 minutes.
Please take my story as a warning. If you seriously want to loose weight there are better ways (I know because I've lost weight after this)
The quickest way is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohol, and sodas.
Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.
In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits contain natural sugars, and that can put on weight)
Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.
Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)
Go exercise for at least an hour a day, incorporating weight training. Weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition. Also do a few yoga and pilates exercises to help tone those hard to reach and stubborn areas.
None. There is no such thing as diet pills. It's an oxymoron.
none. google diet pills and see what you get you will get a list of comparison pills telling you of real results and how worthless or good they are.
None! They are dangerous and the weight comes back on. Do it right and healthy; eat good food, drink lots of water and exercise. That is the way to loose weight.
I totally agree with MadforMa...i tried diet pills in the past and did not help plus the side of effects are horendous...ive been doing things the old fashion way eating healthy and excersing and the benefits have been beyond incredible. I would recommend for anyone wanting to lose weight to do it the natural way.
Well this is kind of a tough one. The thing with "diet pills"...well before I even get into that. First I will say from experience that "diet pills" do work.
However, you don't just take them and weight comes off and you are slimmer for ever. They can increase your core temperature (which will burn fat longer, aka metabolism), they can suppress appetite and they can increase energy among other things.
"Diet pills" enhance what the body does naturally which aids in shedding weight and helping to keep weight off. With "diet pills" and other supplements of the type, there are things that you have to do to aid the "diet pills" as well.
The first and I will say most important is to drink plenty of water. I would say between 10 to 12 cups of water or more. You have to remember that your core temperature may be elevated and water is a key to regulating temperature in the body as well as regulating appetite.
Second, diet. A healthy diet is important regardless of what a person is doing or taking. Though some "diet pills" suppress appetite others do not and diet is key to any diet regardless of "diet pills".
Third, exercise. If you take diet pills and do nothing different, you will shed a few pounds and after a few weeks (8-12) they will be ineffective ( I will tell you why in a sec). With exercise, your body will melt weight right off of you very fast. I personally lost about 12 lbs in three weeks when I used "diet pills" with exercise. "Diet pills" are designed to be most effective with exercise because cardio and weight training turn your body into a fat burning machine and the "diet pills" are a fuel additive that gives you better performance.
OK, about the "diet pills" not working after 8-12 weeks. With almost all performance enhancers after two or three months your body becomes immune to the supplements. You have to basically go cold turkey for about two weeks than start your regimen again or flip flop between products.
With that being said here are a few good "diet pills":
Xenadrine
Hydroxicut
Fahrenheit
Lipo 6
There are more but these work pretty good but not all "diet pills" work the same for every person. Also, there are diet pills geared toward woman but they all work the same.
Also,
Hoodia
CLA
Hoodia is found in diet pills but alone is a natural appetite suppresent. CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is a acid that literally eats at sub dermal fat (the hard to hit belly chub, thigh and under arm flab). CLA is something you can take combined with any type of diet regimen.
There are other things that work besides pills. Natural green tea, vinegar and other more natural diet support.
Good luck
