Diet Pills? Has anyone took Hoodia Gordonii Plus before? And did it work for you?

I have been on it for about 3-4 days taking 2 capsules before a meal once a day like it says...but i am still hungry? I have a feeling i just wasted my money on this crap, i just had lunch around 1:15 i had a bowl of special k and turkey on dry wheat bread with an orange and now it is 4:30 and i am hungry! Is there any type of diet pill that works! I am trying my hardest to workout but it is just not something i am used to doing...I have been doing it at least twice a week i work long hours so sometimes i just cant go workout...I am not overweight i am 4'11 and weigh 120 I just have a gut from hell that wont go away! i am doing the crunch thing and i can feel abs under all my fat in my gut :-( I NEED TO GET RID OF THIS STOMACH!

I haven't tried Hoodia Gordonii Plus, but based on my research I doubt it contains authentic hoodia gordonii. If you read this detailed review of Hoodia Gordonii Plus, you'll see this product doesn't have a lot going for it:

For starters, it uses an inferior hoodia extract and there is no "proof" that the extract even comes from authentic hoodia gordonii. Even if the product contained authentic hoodia gordonii, it contains very little of it. There is only 400mg of hoodia per two capsules. As outlined in the review I've provided, it can take as much as 3,000mg of REAL hoodia gordonii per day for it to work effectively. If you're only taking two capsules per day, you're only getting 400mg - a far cry from 3,000mg.

Interestingly enough, you'll notice the folks that have replied to your question so far have stated they tried Hoodia Gordonii Plus and other similar brands and it didn't work. There are three possible reasons for this...

1. As I've already mentioned it's unlikely that Hoodia Gordonii Plus contains authentic hoodia gordonii. smartBurn Hoodia, another brand mentioned, probably doesn't contain it either. Only real hoodia gordonii has the ability to suppress appetite so these products don't work because they don't contain the "real deal."

2. They aren't taking enough of hoodia gordonii. As I also mentioned, experts and doctors alike say that it can take anywhere between 2,250-3,000mg of REAL hoodia gordonii per day to get effective appetite suppression. Now, not everyone is going to need that much, but based on my research those who have had the most success with hoodia diet pills were taking at least 2,000mg per day.

3. Not giving hoodia enough time to "kick in." Like all herbal supplements, which hoodia gordonii basically is, it takes more time to work compared to traditional drugs. While you can take a prescription drug and feel the effects immediately, herbal supplements usually take more time. It can take as long as 2-3 weeks before you start to feel the effects of hoodia gordonii.

I suspect most people probably try it for a few days and because it doesn't work right away they give up on it and declare it doesn't work. If you are taking adequate amounts of hoodia gordonii everyday, give it some time before you declare it doesn't work.

One final thing to keep in mind as well is that hoodia gordonii doesn't work for everyone. Some people simply don't respond to it. So if your appetite isn't suppressed after a couple weeks of taking hoodia gordonii, then it probably isn't going to work for you.

Diet pills are almost always a waste of money...much of the appetite suppressant effect is in our heads more than in the pills, and for stress eaters or those who eat when bored, it wouldn't matter if they did work because those people typically aren't hungry when they are nibbling anyway.

To lose weight there is no magic bullet or miracle pill/drug...eat right and exercise regularly. Even if you can squeeze in 10 mins here and there throughout the day, you can end up with over an hour of workout time.

Where there's a will, there's a way...get up earlier and workout (walk, use aerobics DVDs, jog, bicycle, rollerblade, etc) or workout when you get off work...make the time.

Cardio will burn calories...then do some exercises that focus on the abs to tone/tighten those muscle so when the fat is gone they'll look nice.

I took it and it did not work, I also took Smartburn w/ Hoodia it also did not work.
tried them and no they didn't work. I am now taking lean system 7 which you can buy on line from Holland and Barrett the health store. I've only been on them since the weekend and they have helped me curb my appetite. I am drinking plenty of water during the day and eating 3 meals a day. i exercise 3 times a week. I don't know if i have lost any weight yet as I don't find out til next week sorry! ..but I do think they are working as I don't wanna eat crap!

Try eating oats for breakfast or multi-grain toast which will help you stay full until 11ish.
