Which diet pill has better results...? trim spa or hydroxy cut?
Question:
Answer:
DO NOT TAKE DIET PILLS! They are dangerous!!
Last year I was visiting my parents and took diet pills on top on my exercise routine and normal diet. I was 26 at the time, 5'11, 180 lbs. By week three I was sick. I had diarrhea, dry heaves, dizziness, headaches, and a general feeling of being sick. I thought I had caught the flu or something. I had lost 13 lbs in 4 days. One morning I told my mom I didn't feel good. My vision kept blacking out and I felt (for lack of a better way to say it) stoned. Later that afternoon I was walking from the bathroom to my bedroom (a 5 foot walk) and I passed out. I was rushed to the hospital emergency where they did a bunch of tests on me.
My pulse was up to 120, My blood pressure was 150/40, they had to start me on an IV, the did an EKG on me, took blood and urine samples, and a whole barrage of other tests.
They finally got me stabilized and said that I was dehydrated and malnutritioned. I told him that I took diet pills. When I mentioned diet pill, the doctors face lit up and said that's why. He said they can cause a whole bunch of health problems, including death. He told me to toss the diet pills or next time I might not be so lucky.
I was kept in the hospital for almost 10 hours, given 3 or 4 IVs, potassium, juices, and monitored (by the EKG, blood pressure, and heart rate machines) every 15 minutes.
Please take my story as a warning. If you seriously want to loose weight there are better ways (I know because I've lost weight after this)
The quickest way is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohol, and sodas.
Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.
In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits contain natural sugars, and that can put on weight)
Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.
Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)
Go exercise for at least an hour a day, incorporating weight training. Weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition. Also do a few yoga and pilates exercises to help tone those hard to reach and stubborn areas.
They're both scams. There is no such thing as a diet pill that works.
i personally perfer hydroxycut
I haven't tried hydroxycut but TrimSpa did nothing at all for me.
Never tried trim spa but I just started hydroxy cut hardcore and it is definitely working. though it makes me feel like ****- insomnia at night, makes me drag during the day, heart rate is up, blood pressure probably going through the roof, no appetite (though that might be a plus for many).
Try looking up the ingredients in each (caffeine, yohimbine, etc) from an accredited source. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/drugi...
This is a link to the national institute of health it will tell you the effects and potential dangers of different drugs and supplements.
To all the people out there saying diet pills do nothing, go get a bottle of hydoxycut or any pill with caffeine and yohimbine and take like 3 and then tell me they are placebo. Better yet take 10 and see if your heart doesnt jump out of your chest.
exercise. its not hard. i would consider you going on a low carb diet. they work! dont ever starve yourself!! EVER. drink 64 oz water every day, it works! also, get exercise, go for a bike ride for a half hour or an hour every day, trust me, it will work with fantastick results, it worked for me, and my mom, it work great! i was overweight, so i did it, i exercise every day now but im not on a low carb diet anymore, i dont have to eat as much to get full, and dont have to worry how many carbs i eat (as long as its under like 120 carbs) and is healthy. im above average strength for my age and all i do is bike bike every day, and do push ups and sit ups every once an a while.
Diet pills are NOT ALWAYS "scams" and some work, but the ones you mention haven't been studied much and use some shrewed advertising. Read their fine print during commercials. However, the ones that do work are almost always unhealthy when not taken under a doctors care (which even then isn't foolproof), which is even worse then being scammed.
There are two ways a diet pill could work: Increase the rate which you use calories or suppress your desire to eat. The most come ingredient in these products is a stimulant of some sort, usually plain o' caffeine. The problem is you can "crash" when the drug wears off, which dives some people to take more or take it more often. Then you have the cycle of dependence. Don't risk it!
So, it comes down to the simplest equation as always - When you use more calories then you intake, your weight will decrease.
In my opinion: Forget the fad diets that often deprive you of vital nutrients and can reduce energy (in the long run, any unbalanced diet is unhealthy). Just cut back on bad foods and soda, eat good foods with a balance diet, do some moderate cardo even lift some light weights (muscle technically weights more then fat, but more muscle burns more calories even while you sleep and tones the body to help replace fat with lean muscle) and get a workout buddy. It takes time but its the right way and healthy way.
SCAM. Read the disclaimer carefully it doesn't even say they cause weight loss.
None, diet pills are a waste of money. Exercise and eating right is the best way to lose weight.
