Question:
I've been working out consistently since I gave birth to my daughter 15 months ago. During that time, I have lost 85 lbs. I know alot about fitness and diet, but I was having trouble making good food choices @ night due to stress, so I tried Xenadrine EFX (a diet pill). It didn't do anything for me, just kept my weight steady, while I was eating more. About a week ago, I quit the pill b/c I didn't see any results. I feel like my metabolism may have slowed down. I gained 5 lbs within this week! I lose weight quickly and now it seems though it's so hard for me to even lose a pound when I workout intensely. How long will it take for my metabolism to be back where it was before I started taking the Xenadrine? What should I do now?
Answer:
The key to a good metabolism is actually feeding it. Divide your total calorie intake and the amount of hours you are awake by 6. Basically eat 6 small meals equally spaced through the day and your metabolism has the best chance of getting back to normal.
