Is it good to go on a diet of 500 cls a day to lose wait fast need help diet pills not working?

Question:
have seen on telly how to get to a size o

Answer:
by crash dieting you only lose water weight and muscle and dramatically slow down your metabolism which will make fat loss in future sooo much harder. plus you will gain back even more when start eating normal again.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
Wrong. Wong. Wrong. Very wrong.
Nope that is not enough calories to sustain you, try 1000 cal a day at least. T.V always has the magic cure but they never work.
Sorry but pills or crash diets are no good for you, healthy food and plenty of exercise is always the best option !!.
Hit the Gym
Speaking from experience, if you do that, you are setting yourself up to develop anorexia. I did that (stupid) and, a long twisted path later, am still dealing with it.

Go to a doctor and exercise. Drink water only. Etc.
The fewest calories a young woman should consume daily is about 1200, and that is if you are already very thin and of less-than-average height. If you consume fewer than 1200 calories per day your mind and body will not function properly. You will become lethargic and your metabolism will take a steep and almost immediate dive.

So, while you will be intaking far fewer calories on a 500-cal. than you would normally, your caloric output will also be considerably less.

The result: You will shed pounds quickly at first but will NOT lose any more weight after your body has adjusted (usually after just a few weeks). So you won't lose much weight overall, and you will be deficient in a considerable amount of the vitamins, minerals, protein, carbs, and fats that you need to function. Oh, you will probably also be unhappy because you won't be able to enjoy food anymore.

So, yeah, don't do it. :)
Lets face it people..the only way to loose weight is healthy eating, and excersize. Half a plate of veggies the other 2 portions for mt and grains with milk. Walk,Walk,Walk!
4 food groups, organic and walk, run, cycle.
You don't want to get to a size 0...i hope you're not that stupid, but i have a friend who is on a 500 calorie a day diet and he has lost 3 stone in the past 5 weeks...he told me he was eating healthy and that everything was fine, but now and again has a sneaky choco bar to keep up his sugar level...and he looks fab! just don't go too drastic on your weight, you shouldn't put your body through something horrible to get down to a size 0, but if you want to lose weight quikly...it doesnt harm you to go on a 500 calorie a day diet, jus make sure you keep your sugar level up somehow.
no way you need to eat five to six small meals a day high in protien and fiber and exercise is key to loosing weight do at least 30min. of cardio a day you want to drink green tea and avoid fried foods white bread and SUGAR your worst enemy because all food turns into sugar to be used as energy and any un used energy turns into body fat you should also drink plenty of water because if your not getting enough your body will start to store it and appear as fat .use splenda sugar instead of real sugar and dont change your looks to make other people happy a diet is only succesfull when you are ready for it mentaly so good luck to yah and ohh yeah one more thing start today because people who say oh i will start next week never actualy do the diet so good luck again
Getting too little calories a day can actually make you sick. Your body needs a certain amount to keep itself going. Don't rely on diet pills to give you what you want. Eat right and get exercise. I've been on a diet going on three weeks now. I've cut out almost all of my bread and potatoes (two things I really love), eat more veggies, especially green ones, buy lean meat, cut out almost all sodas and desserts. Sounds like a lot but I'm determined. I'll be honest. Right now I'm a size 18. I can't believe I just admitted that! The first week I lost 5 lbs, the second 3 lbs. I haven't weighed myself this week yet, but I know I've lost more because my clothes feel different. Also, losing weight too fast can be damaging as well. Talk to a doctor about a diet plan for you that will help you loose weight fast, but safely.
500 calories is way too little even for those on a diet. you need at least 1000 calories a day even if trying to lose weight. You are only fooling your body otherwise. Your body will think you are starving(which you are) and will conserve it's resources , perhaps having the effect of not allowing you to lose weight at all, or worse still, losing a bit, and as soon as you start eating normally again, the weight goes back on.

Diet pills don't work. the only way to lose weight permanently is slowly, and by a change in lifestyle rather than dieting...
It is not healthy you are setting yourself up for an eating disorder if you do this and that is years of torment not just for you but your family and friends.
oh...i wanna try that. email me we can do it together.
Those 500 kcal diets also involve spending your entire day excerising and massive loss of day to day brain function. So if you are holding down a job, or have responsibilities, you can't follow the diet.

Assuming you cope with the diet, excerise and brain failure you're still asking for trouble. The diet brings on the body's famine responses, so when eat 'normally' again you regain all the weight you lost very quicky, plus at least 10%.

If you don't have time to diet slowly, buy a good corset instead xxx
The ONLY diet that will ever work is a lifestyle change. As soon as you quit dieting and eat unhealthily you will put the weight back on again, plus some more. This is because your metabolic rate has dropped. Here are some facts for you:

Small frame = Low metabolic rate
Large frame = High metabolic rate

If you really want to lose weight healthily and have a good chance of keeping it off, you need to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). You can do this by clicking on the following link:

http://www.weightlossforgood.co.uk/bmr_c...

Ok, you've probably got a 4 digit figure. (Mine is 1359).
This figure is the number of calories your body needs each day just to exist i.e. if I layed in bed all day and didn't move a muscle, my body would need 1359 calories each day to exist. i.e.1359 calories would keep all my vital organs going, like the heart and brain etc.

However, if you wanted to spend the entire day running around, you would need to consume MORE calories than your BMR or your body will be deficient in calories and will eat up it's own fat stores as fuel.

THIS IS THE CLEVER PART - if you eat no more than your BMR each day, then you will lose weight easily because your body will need to burn fat to make up the difference. And it's perfectly safe and healthy, because you are not depriving your body. You are giving your body all the calories that it needs to function healthily. It only becomes unhealthy if you drop your calorie allowance BELOW your BMR. In this circumstance, you'll be burning off muscle too. xxx
Why on earth would you wnat to be a size 0, that is ridiculous! 500 calories a day is too few. You need a minimun of
1000 depending on your activity level maybe more. Stay away from crash diets whre you starve yourself. If you do lose weight it will likely to be mostly water weight at first . And any weight you lose on this kind of diet is going to come back on(with a few friends) as soon as you try to resume eating normally which you will have to do or face serious health problems. You are headed for an eating disorder sweetie. Be careful with the diet pills also, they can cause problems themselves.
no its not good i done tha but had bad binges so now iv gave up and learnin 2 accept da wat im ment to be. if it make you unhappy 2 starve myself then its not worth it!

hope dis helps x
no, it will slow down your motabilsm and you will feel realy crap just eat thing healthy when ever your hungry and exercise often, DONT STARVE YOURSELF!
