Are diet pills safe to take?

Question:

Noooooooo!!
What kind of diet pills? Is it something you're getting over the counter, that's really some kind of herbal remedy (which may contain ephedrine)? Or are you talking about something prescribed by a doctor? My doctor has me on medication that is an appetite supressant, but it's a schedule II medication, and I have a written prescription for it. I would say if you're taking something under a doctor's supervision, then you should be fine (unless your doctor is a total quack), but to just start taking something on your own could be dangerous. Even herbal supplements can cause health problems, so you have to be careful.
No and they are not an effective way to reduce wieght either!
