Please help-I need to reduce my weight.I have tried everything-exercise,diets... pills but nothing works
Question:
Answer:
If you're trying to cut back on fat, here are a few easy ways to trim it from your diet.
"Hold the Mayo!"
According to Corinne T. Netzer's The Complete Book of Food Counts, one tablespoon of Hellman's mayo packs in 100 calories and 11 grams of fat!
Reduced-fat varieties of mayo have become more palatable over the years. My favorite is Kraft Light.
Other alternatives include fat-free condiments like: salsa, chutney, pickle relish, mustard, or horseradish.
Dolma is a "Do"
How about trying a new ethnic food to keep things interesting? Middle eastern restaurants offer many healthful entrees, such as: baba ghanouj, rice pilaf, dolma, lentil soup, and kufta.
Better than Butter
Top toast with a tablespoon of regular butter and you've already downed an extra 11 grams of fat before your day even starts! Switch to reduced-fat margarine, yogurt-based spreads, or fruit butters (like apple butter).
Make Nice with the Bread Basket
Watching your carb-intake? Steer clear of it.
But if fat's your foe, munching a bread stick or a roll before your meal can help your weight loss efforts by curbing your hunger and possibly preventing over-eating
"People just Love Saying Salsa!"
"Seinfeld" told us the real reason people adore salsa, but it isn't the only reason to love it! Salsa is naturally fat-free.
It tops lots of foods deliciously in lieu of higher-fat condiments: baked potatoes; grilled chicken; salads; snack crackers; and of course, chips.
Treat yourself to freshly-made salsa by mixing together diced tomatoes, green onions and chilies, and cilantro.
Not a "Loser's" Lunch
A slice of traditional bologna has about 11 grams of fat. Try reduced-fat varieties of lunch meats like Healthy Choice brand or fat-free Oscar Mayer bologna. Chicken and turkey are naturally lean and better for you.
Processed luncheon meats can contain as much as 80 percent of calories from fat.

HOME REMEDIES FOR LOSING WEIGHT
Fruits and green vegetables are low calorie foods, so over weight persons should use these more frequently.
One should avoid intake of too much salt. Salt may be a factor for increasing the body weight.
Milk products like cheese, butter should be avoided because these are rich in fat. Meat and non-vegetarian foods should also be avoided.
Spices like dry ginger, cinnamon, black pepper etc. are good for loosing weight and can be used in a number of ways.
Rice and potato which contain a lot of carbohydrates should be avoided among cereals wheat is good.
Vegetables like bitter gourd (Karela), and bitter variety of drumstick are useful for loosing weight.
Taking of honey is an excellent home remedy for obesity. It mobilizes the extra deposited fat in the body and puts it into circulation, which is utilized as energy for normal functions. One should start with small quantity of about 10 GMs. or a tablespoonful to be taken with hot water. It is good to take it in early morning. A teaspoonful of fresh lemon juice may also be added.
Fasting on honey and lime juice is highly beneficial in the treatment of obesity without the loss of energy and appetite. In this mode of treatment, one teaspoonful of fresh honey should be mixed with a juice of half a lime in a glass of lukewarm water. It can be taken several times in a day at regular intervals.
Cabbage is considered to be an effective remedy for loosing weight. This vegetable inhibits the conversion of sugar and other carbohydrates into fat. Hence, it is of great value in weight reduction. It can be taken raw or cooked.
Exercise is an important part of weight reduction plan. It helps to use up calories stored in body as fat. In addition, it also relieves tension and tones up the muscles of the body. Walking is the best exercise to begin with and may be followed by running, swimming, rowing.
Lime juice is excellent for weight reduction. Juice of a lime mixed in a glass of warm water and sweetened with honey should be taken every morning on an empty stomach.
Measure the portions of your food every meal and make sure that the portions are small. For example one portion of rice should not be more than the quantity which can fit in your fist. Smaller meals at a regular interval of 4 to 5 hours will keep your metabolism high and prevent your body from converting the food you intake into fat. You must also include regular exercise in your daily routine to help enhance weight reduction.

Tip 1: Drink Herbal Tea
When urges for sweets and snacks arrive, try drinking herbal teas such as apple-cinnamon, almond, or orange. The preparation of tea alone actually helps to take your mind off of junk food. The heat from the tea fills you up, and the aroma helps to satisfy your cravings.
Tip 2: Limit High Carbohydrate Foods
To maximize the fat-burning process, it's best to gradually eliminate carbohydrates toward the end of the day. This minimizes your chances of storing fat late at night.
Tip 3: Don't Drink Alcohol
Alcohol contains too many empty calories which ultimately produce nothing but fat.
Tip 4: Motivate Yourself
Try to find an incentive for getting in shape and burning fat. Write down your goal and put it in a location you see everyday, such as your refrigerator. Motivation really keeps you going!
Tip 5: Use Low-Calorie Food Alternatives
Try to save as many calories as you can. Substitute water for soda, baked chicken for fried chicken, sub sandwiches for pizza, etc.
Tip 6: Don't Starve Yourself
Starving only promotes a bigger "rebound" effect because your body likes to hold on from what it is deprived of. Instead, fuel the body every 2 to 3 hours with small meals.
Tip 7: Drink 1 or More Glasses of Water Before Meals
This is to help fill the stomach and give you a full feeling. It works!
Tip 8: Be Consistent
No weight loss tips will work if you don't give them a chance. It may take a while to see results. Hang in there! Consistency is the key to effectiveness.
Tip 9: Don't Use the Scale
Scales can be misleading. For example, if you're losing bodyfat and bodyweight but gaining muscle, the scale won't necessarily reflect the difference between the two. Instead, monitor the inches you lose. Inches never lie!

instead of being a diet, there mission is to teach you how to eat better and make better choices. I have lost 80lbs, my brothers 120lbs and still going, my mother 20 lbs, my grandmother 15lbs.
it simply teaches you a better lifestyle for permanent weight loss. not just another fad diet but somthing you can live by and be happy with.
for dinner tonight I ate: half slab of ribs (lighter on the sauce than i like but enough to be happy with), mashed potatoes, corn (no butter), and a dinner roll. how many "diets" allow you to eat that? whats surprising? ill lose weight this week!
Ask your doctor to do a Thyroid Function test which will see if your Thyroid Gland is working properly. If the thyroid gland is not working properly a person is likely to gain weight and not be able to lose it. It is easily sorted out though with a daily tablet of the thyroid hormone.
this works for one week no pop coffee juice or sweets water cereal 3 times a day 4 one week u tell us on answers how it worked
Be consistent in your regimen. Do it at least two weeks. Walk daily, start off slow and then build up. As far as eating, summer is coming.. so eat all the fruits and veggies you want.
Good luck!
Hold your tummy in walk loads and think your thin. Apples and bran when your peckish. Little and often with the meals. Have lost loads that way. Good Luck
Diet pills are no good. As someone else said weightwatchers is excellent. Drinking plenty of water, making healthier food choices and exercising is the only sensible way. I wish you luck.
Don't eat trans fat and high fructose corn syrup, which is cheaper than sugar and really bad for you.
Gastro-bypass surgury
Identify and limit carbohydrates in your diet. Don't remove all carbs, just limit them (to less than 100g a day) for a couple of weeks. You have to get your body into fat burning mode. And, there are only really two ways to do it:
1) Diet
2) Exercise
Exercise expends energy, but if you still consume more than you exercise out, you're still at a surplus and will not lose weight. So, you have to limit the energy intake (by reducing carbs) and also adding exercise (increase energy expenditure). Remember, carbs are energy. Too much energy gets stored as fat.
Note: After 2 days, your body will begin a changeover to fat loss mode. At this point, you may feel like you are getting sick or have the flu. You don't. Your body is ridding itself of toxins and converting to fat loss. After another day or so, you will begin to feel a lot better.
As far as fat and proteins, eat enough to satisfy you. But, don't add fats to your diet if at all possible. Just eat the fats that come naturally with the foods you eat. Eating protein can help burn fat too because you expend more energy digesting proteins than any other macronutrient.
As far as the types of carbs to eat, it's preferable to eat naturally occurring carbs like fruits, nuts, vegetables, small amounts of rice or honey instead of processed carbs like flour, cereal, bread, cookies, cakes, white sugar, etc. And, especially avoid commercially produced candies and boxed or packaged foods. You can't control what you are eating unless you know exactly what's in it.
You can utilize a support group like Nutrisystem or Weight Watchers, but be careful. They like you to buy their foods. They may not help you to maintain your weight loss, by giving you menu suggestions, if you leave the group.
Minimize eating the food including carbohydrates,as well as drink hot water instead of cold,Eat Green salad in quantity at lunch instead of food, keep exercising.
Try to engage urself in sports that you have interest in. Low impact exercises are usually faster in burning those excess fats, like salsa dancing , walking thru the park ,etc. You burn fat more when ur doing sports that u like.
From my experience , diets are useless and never work permanently. When you want to eat chocolate, ice cream or other rich-fat food , just go ahead and eat them , BUT at a reasonable amount. By doing this , you wont get craving for certain food and ends up bingeing on them.
It's simply , try to be more active , sweat everyday , and eat reasonably...G'luck
I had sucess on diets and pills, but as soon as I stopped, the weight came back, plus some. I developed a healthy eating lifestyle through TTP40 which reduces the weight naturally through detoxification and exercise. I have lost 27 lbs in 3 months and I have never looked or felt better.
