Don't try them, they aren't worth spending money. There is no diet pill that actually works. By that I mean there is no pill that will burn off fat while you sit. There are some that will help you lose weight but thats cause they dehydrate you, but you gain it all back in a couple days with the water you drink. Americans spend billions of dollars a year on diet pills, fads and other miracle products. And in the end we're still the most obese country in the world, cause...they don't work. I guaranteed if anyone of them actually worked they wouldn't be obscure but they'd be flying off the shelves and all over the news.
Most "i lost 10 lbs in 1 week" things you hear are just one person's story, out of hundreds if not thousands that have tried. And if you look at the commercials carefully in very small lettering it says "results not typical" and "accompanied with a diet and exercise plan." If you decide what the heck I don't mind spending money, careful of what you buy, diet pills and supplements aren't regulated by the FDA, so they can pretty much put whatever they want in them. Do your research on whatever the "active" ingredient is to make sure it doesn't carry a risk with it.
The only way to lose weight is still the cheapest, eating right and exercising everyday. GOod luck.
