Why is there a big controversey over diet pills?
Question:
Answer:
The big controversy is because teenage girls abuse them and end up being anorexic. Diet pills control appetite and boost your metabolism. There is nothing wrong with them when used with proper diet and exercise.
Because the ingredients in the vast majority of them can kill you or seriously harm you.
cause i think they only create short term results and eventually u willl gain back the weight that you lost and maybe even more, i think it also has stuff inside taht may harm your body... when you decide to lose weight you wnat to leave your old unhealthy lifestyle behind... u should do that by being more active and changing your eating habitsa small little pill ( in my opinion) does not do that for you
Because they can kill you.
What seems like a simple matter of eating less food and getting more exercise turns into a deadly game when diet pills get involved.
Most of them interfere with the heart, nervous system, or brain, causing heart attacks, Parkinsons' or strokes if used regularly or long-term.
I'd say that's worth a controversy or two.
Most diet pills are junk and just plain do not work. Some pills contain potentially harmful substances when taken in excess. Which leads to this - probably most people abuse diet pills thinking that if some are good, taking more must be more effective. Some pills are effective, but only in concert with good diet and exercise.
Too often pills are lauded as a magic bullet that don't require any change in lifestyle, and they're purely scams. There simply is no substitute for a healthy diet and active lifestyle.
