What is the best diet, without pills and what is the best exercise plan??

Question:
What is the best way to lose weight.. My grandma, mom, and aunt are overweight/obese and have been struggling for years, upon years..I think they've stopped trying because they've given up hope, they've tried quite a few diets like Weight Watchers and South Beach. but they don't seem to work?

Answer:
the key to losing weight is burning more calories than you take in.. now dont get discouraged.. eat a good b,l,healthy snack and dinner, but also remember to try and keep it under 2,000 calories.. that doesnt mean that you cant have good things to eat. for instance i LOVE chocolate and i eat a little a couple times a week but i eat it in small proportions and it doesnt hurt me. the same will work for you..

Now its not just eating right.. been there tried that.. you have to get up and exercise too.. 30 minutes a day is all you truely need but you do have to alternat legs versus arms.. if you dont you are just going to destroy your body.. if you have access to some kind of gym try and go and do legpress and some ab workout and run or bike one day and the other to various exercises on your upper body.. if you cant get to a gym i suggest wall sits, crunches, running, biking for your legs and stomach then boxing with a heavy bag, pushups, and using dumbells.

I know its not fun and my summer is going slow, and personally i need to lose about 25 lbs and i started this program about 2 weeks ago.. I am your age and an inch shorter than you.. its not gonna work unless you keep your mind to it.. i personally hate exercising, but since there isnt much to do in the summer i just go and do it (it also helps when you have a gym at your house lol) its gonna vary from one person to the next but in these two weeks i have already lost 10 lbs.. (it also helps if you do this stuff with a friend to encourage each other)

Good luck

Oh and the most important thing is to stay positive.. if you dont you wont lose the weight like you want it and sometimes you will gain so jus stay positive and you will do fine
I lost over 20 pounds in four weeks and have successfully kept it off on The Abs Diet. It's a common-sense approach to diet and fitness that doesn't require calorie counting, cutting out entire food groups, cooking exotic meals with hard-to-find ingredients, or completely giving up everything you love. Best of all, it's 100% safe and IT WORKS! You can find the book in any major bookstore, and it's hard to miss -- the cover is bright orange.

WARNING: If your grandmother, Mom, and aunt want to lose weight and keep it off they have to stop thinking of a "diet" in the traditional sense. People who diet change their eating and exercise habits for a while, then they almost always go right back to their "bad" eating and exercise habits once they lose the weight. The end result is they gain all that weight back -- usually with interest. Those who are successful in losing weight and keeping it off make permanent changes to their eating and exercise habits. The good news is The Abs Diet is an eating and exercise plan you can live with and still treat yourself every once in a while. It's worth checking out.
The Magnetic Diet
The best diet is one that allows you to eat only when you are physiologically hungry and doesn’t create a lot of psychological hunger from feeling deprived. Your best diet is one that includes all the macro nutrients; protein, carbohydrates, and fats. Moderation is the key. Usually the best place to find a diet that incorporates all of these important aspects is from a Registered Dietician or someone with a significant amount of education/training in nutrition. This website is also a great resource for your best diet to lose weight and improve your health.

Finding out more about your body and the way it works is very important to the success of your best diet. You may know what your current weight is but this does not tell you much about how your body is burning calories. This is better estimated from a body composition test and/or a resting metabolic rate test. Body composition testing determines how much of your body is made up of fat and how much is lean body mass. The more lean body mass you have the faster your metabolism will be. A resting metabolic rate test will help determine just how quickly your body burns through the food you take in. From there, based on your activity duration and frequency, calories are then added to this number to establish your daily caloric requirement.

Once you determine your calorie needs a nutritionist can fine tune your best diet using the above information. Knowing your lean body mass helps estimate how much protein is necessary for tissue repair. The next factor that comes into play is your activity level. This will help determine how much of your diet should be made up of carbohydrates. Finally, most healthy diet plans do not suggest ingesting more than 30% of total calories from fat. Having some healthy fat in your best diet is very important because you will not be able to burn existing fat stores without taking some in. A nutritionist can help educate you on which are the healthy fats and which to steer clear of.

In order to develop your best diet that allows you to safely and effectively lose weight you must strive to be in a calorie deficit. This is accomplished either by decreasing your caloric intake or increasing physical activity. This means you are ending the day with slightly fewer calories than your body needs to maintain normal metabolic function. It is advised by most dieticians and nutritionists not to be in the negative by more than 500 calories per day in order to lose a pound of fat per week. One pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories and most studies show that if you lose any more weight than two pounds per week you will start to metabolize muscle rather than the fat.

Staying away from fad diets is very important if you are looking for the best diet to help you maintain a healthier weight over the long term. Fad diets set the body up for physiological starvation, slowing the metabolism by burning up muscle and using it for energy while holding onto body fat stores. This creates unbearable cravings which will set you up for failure every time. A healthy diet will do just the opposite. It will allow you to maintain the muscle on your body, actually allow you to increase lean body mass (which in turn increases your metabolism) and help you burn fat more efficiently both at rest and during your workouts.

The best diet will be tailored specifically to your body. That is why it is recommended that you consult with a professional. If seeing a Registered Dietician is not an option for you than you can get started by using other links on this site for a healthy eating plan. Getting healthy begins with a smart and safe diet plan. It is going to have the most dramatic effect in changing your body.

My sister is a Wellness Coordinator, she says, that diets really don't work, because you have to come off the diet one day and all of your weight will come back on. The way to lose weight is to change the way you eat, or to eat healthy for the rest of your life. Your folks know all the right things to do if they've been on WW and SB, what they need to do is decide if they want to be healthy or not, then do all the things that are truly necessary to be as healthy as they want to be. It sounds pretty wishy-washy, but I declare its the truth. I lost close to seventy pounds without really going on a diet and I've kept it off for close to seven years. I do what I know is right for me and my body type. I exercise daily, I eat more fruit and vegetable than junk, I know the correct portions and I use them accordingly. I get in trouble with food every now and then, but I get back into doing what is right for me and I feel healthy again.
I wanted my doctor to give me something that would help me to lose some of those stubborn pounds that won't just go away. He told me that he was satisfied with what ever I was doing, then he showed me my chart, there was a steady decline in my weight, even when I was not aware of it. He's pleased, I'm even happier.
For people like them, diets no longer work, they will have to begin to look at "why" they over eat. Sometimes we overeat because we are sad, lonely, happy, or just missing someone.

They start out well on diets but they don't end well once they start binging on foods that help comfort them during difficult times.

Getting a book on "emotional eating" will help them see why it is so difficult to stay on any diet.

Best of luck
They should try LA Weight-Loss,it worked for me.It teaches how to stay healthy after you've lost the weight so you keep the weight off.
