Is Alli diet pill for me???

Question:
I am 5-8 and 250 pounds. I want to lose 100 pounds if possible. So will the new Alli diet pill help me do this???

Answer:
They say alli is supposed to be pretty good its FDA approved and all. Most of these other people on here are talking bout the normal diet pills like relacore and hydroxycut and all that crap. I want to try alli out and see if it works. I've been on a diet and lost 13lbs already. SO i want to try alli to speed it up a little.

go to myalli.com
they have a book too w/ a diet and exercise plan.
dont do diet pills thats an extremly lazy way. you should exercise, exercise is a normal way of losing weight and way more healthier than popping pills that SAY you will lose weight.
I don't know if it will help you lose 100 pounds though. If you diet and exercise it's possible. You still have to do those things. I would say go for it, but don't get lazy and just depend on the pill.
Diet pills and fat burners will help you lose the weight, but, odds are, when you stop taking the pills you'll gain the vast majority of it right back. Not to mention the fact that Alli inhibits your ability to absorb some fats, which means you poop the fat out. Taking that pill can lead to loose stools, frequent and violent urge to poop, and abdominal distress. Is that really worth it? If you're having a hard time losing the weight call a doctor and get checked out for thyroid problems, and contact a nutritionist. It's much better than having an oily anal discharge.
It depends. You have to be willing to cut down on your fat intake to about 15 grams per meal. Alli will work amazingly if used correctly. However if you continue to eat alot of fatty foods you are going to get bad gas and possible the squirts. Not Good.

If followed as directed it will assist you in lossing weight because it blocks 1/4 of your regular fat intake as that is passed out as waste. (see why you need to keep it below 15 grams :)

If you eat say 2 Big Macs and Take alli you make very good friends with the toilet that day and you won't want to go out in public.

If you stick to a program of low fat diet with exercise then it should work. The pill blocks fat so you can lose more weight than with just diet and exercise alone. If you are already walking and hiking 7 miles a day then I would guess your diet needs to change. Do you lift weights? Adding muscle will help burn more fat because fat does nothing for you, muscle uses calories for fuel. So I recommend a higher protein low fat diet with your walking hiking and weight lifting routine and Alli you will see results. Good luck.
It's for you if you want to lose 1 pound a month with some nasty side effects. People who tested it only lost 1 pound per month, that's barely effective in my opinion. It works by blocking some of the fat normally digested by the intestine. But the gross thing is guess where the fat ends up? The side effects include diarrhea, anal leakage, Fatty/oily stool, oily spotting, intestinal gas with discharge, bowel movement urgency, poor bowel control and headaches. Doesn't sound like fun to me, what are people suppose to do wear a diaper?

I suggest two all natural diet pills that are safe and have no side effects. They are Hoodia Gordonii and Cha de Bugre.

Hoodia Gordonii is a natural appetite suppressant derived from a South African cactus that the bushmen have eaten there for thousands of years. You need to make sure you get a strong pure hoodia that is certified to be genuine. I aways recommend Totalink's unbiased Hoodia comparison at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/hoodi...

Cha de Bugre, is a new weight loss supplement that is growing in popularity and is similar to Ma Huang (Ephedrine) without any of the bad effects. Cha de Bugre is from Brazil and has been used there safely for centuries. Cha de Bugre provides energy, fat burning and appetite suppression that benefit weight loss. Cha de Bugre also has additional uses that are known in Brazil that include being used as a mild diuretic, a cellulite reducer, aides in reducing herpes simplex outbreaks and a heart tonic. You can find more about it at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/cha_d...

Hope this helps, if you want to know more about Hoodia I have written a lot of articles on it. Just search Yahoo or Google under my name “Andrew Aitaken” to find them.

Remember, you should always consult your physician before taking any diet pill or weight loss supplement.
Sky High,

Alli is the only over the counter diet product that had been approved by the FDA. The only one.

Alli works as a fat blocker and blocks 25% of the fat you have eaten and eliminates it when you poop. It also will help you lose 50% more weight.

Sounds like a miracle pill now doesn't it?
However, and there is a big however, you have to make a firm commitment to not consume more than 15 grams of fat per meal. Why? Well remember that I said it blocks 25% of the fat you have eaten, well if you eat over 15 grams of fat per meal you will more-then-likely have unpleasant side effects.

The excess fat has to be eliminated some how and if you eat over the 15 grams you may have an urgent need to go to the bathroom with runny stools or you may have gas with an oily spotting.

Alli is safe and effective BUT before taking alli you have to decide whether or not you can keep to the amount of fat that is recommended. If you not, then you are not going to be too happy with your side effects. If you are willing to make a trade of 50% more weight loss with alli but eat a lower fat diet than alli would be for you.

It's a decision that only you can make. Read more about alli and be totally honest with yourself.
Try Alli.because.

The weight you are at puts your health at risk in many ways, as I'm sure you already know. Yet, you continue to exercise and have not seen the results you had hoped for. I was in that position myself. My metabolism is slow, so while I would exercise every day for at least one hour (treadmill - run/walk) I was not losing weight. I tried adjusting my diet - eating healthy, watching my calories and fat intake. (yes, I wrote it all down so I know in my heart of hearts I was not cheating!!) I would lose MAYBE one - two pounds every three weeks. Sorry, that's just not very motivating for me. I need to see results - or at least - more results than that.

I tried orlistat and lost the weight. But I feel compelled to say, I made a commitment to follow the plan by the book - no cheating. Yes, I went potty more than before - but it wasn't so bad that I was staining my pants or anything of that nature - and if it did increase - I reexamined my diet to see what may be causing it. Look upon it as a red-flag - a safety net - for when you're obviously eating things you should be avoiding.

Best of luck to you. Alli doesn't contain any stimulants or drugs such as that, so it's much safer than the run-of-the-mill diet pills. Just be sure and take your vitamin supplement every evening before you go to bed - to ensure you don't become depleted.

From someone who started at 185 pounds and is now at 127 and maintaining, whose blood pressure was at 160/100 and is now 120/70..here's to you coming down to my level - meet me here!
I have to say if YOU want to try it then do so. I'm concerned though. You say you exercise and with that kind of exercise at your weight you should be losing. Have you had a physical? Mention this struggle to your Dr. Unless, your not watching what your eating too...
I'm concerned about the side effects Alli has...I certainly don't want to have an issue with it that side effect..lol
Good Luck
People don't realize that this will make you sh*t liquid fat out of your butt after you eat! How gross is that??

Just like all the other diet pills out there, Alli is supposed to be taken in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise. So why not just eat healthy and exercise without diet pills? This way you can still lose weight and not sh*t your pants all day.
I *was* quite excited about the new diet pill, Alli. Our Walgreen's received it a day early (Thursday) and I called and asked them to put one aside for me. I *thought* I had done enough research, but what I was seeing was "rah rahs" for the product.

Friday morning on the front page of the newspaper was a very long article about Alli. I read it very carefully and then read it again. Following that, I called Walgreen's and asked them *not* to reserve the that they had for me.

Why? Yes, I had read about all the "inner" troubles and having to "run very fast" quite often. I was willing to accept that. What changed my mind was the fact that, in tests running an entire year, the Alli users lost only *three* lbs more than the people who did not take it..

I can do better on my own. I do not want to spend a fortune on pills. I belong to a *free*online group with many thousands of members. I can track my food and their programs tell me if I have stayed within range--calories, fats, carbs and protein (one can also add others). I am able to join groups that interest me and I have made friends there. I receive points for tracking food, reading articles, exercising, posting to a group--there many ways to earn points.

What are the points for? No, they do not earn you a new baseball cap or a t-shirt. They are there, I believe, to keep you encouraged and to be proud of how many points you have earned. (Remember the gold stars on our school papers?)

The site is below, in my sources. Remember--it does work!
I wrote a post on my blog about Alli yesterday. I think Alli is worth a try. It will not work for everyone but it will work for some.
