What do you think about the new diet pill ALLI?
Question:
Answer:
Haven't been on it long enough to know if it works, but it has some rather disgusting side effects. Lets just say undigested fat doesn't look pretty when it comes out. I think it will probably end up working just for the fact that I'm now almost afraid to eat anything with any fat in it.
For anyone who says it doesn't work because other diet pills don't work, they haven't kept in mind most diet pills consist of stimulants and laxatives and are not FDA approved. This one is FDA approved and it was and still is offered as a prescription version. They do expect you do eat a healthy diet and exercise while on it, though while taking it after a few days you will probably be less likely to eat some of the less healthy foods.
doent work. since ephedra was banned, no real diet pills work. sorry diet and excercise for u.
izzz naaasssty
1st and ONLY diet pill approved by the FDA. I'm not saying that makes it better, but diet pills have been around for a long time and this is the only one approved by the FDA.
Other thing people NEED to realize is diet pills DO NOT make you lose weight. They help facilitate the process. The only non-surgical way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you take in. Diet pills often work at speeding up your metabolism which helps in this process, but like it or not, you still have to eat healthy and do exercise.
girl diet pills DONT work! eat right and exercise regularly!
Wow. I'm not sure about that. Not sure at all.
To tell the truth, I think that all diet pills are horrible, because I know that the are surgeries like lipo suction. (if you really need it)
Ive tryed it it doesn't work that well. Sorry, Try the normal stuff: diet and exercise
I tried the RX form of it and it was gross. The anal leakage that they warn you about is really nasty and you can not control it. I had to carry extra clothes around with me just in case. As far as weight loss, it did absolutely nothing. Dont waste your money.
Like Xenical it will prevent the body from absorbing a percentage of the fat that you take in. The rest is hype. It comes down to eat right, exercise - cause your body to absorb 25% less fat and guess what - you will lose weight.
I didn't know anything about it until I heard them talking about it on the news. The news said it gives you "explosive, uncontrollable diarrhea." They actually recommended wearing dark colored pants, and bringing a change of clothes with you "just in case" until you get used to the side effects! GROSS! I'd rather be fat than sh!t my pants all the time.
I know for a fact because I come from a family of doctors and nurses, no. No diet pills work. They're all flat out LIES. Don't use them, some can actually harm you. Plus, if you've ever seen one of those advertisements they say Taking this pill with DIET AND EXCERSIZE will help you lose weight, the pill isn't doing anything. YOU are. If you think you need to lose a few pounds, jog around your neighborhood and instead of grabbing a box of cookies or a bowl of icecream, grab a sugarfreee popsicle or a couple cut up carrots and a bit of lowfat ranch dressing. Learn to make excersize and healthy eating part of your daily routine. Just don't take diet pills. They waste your money. And could harm you.
if you use it correctly with the Alli exersice and diet book it can work, but it doesent work by itself. My frien uses it and lost 6 Ibs in 1 wk.
I havent tried it but I read a lot of reviews and none were good. Most Doctors say that it will only work for certain people. And all the doctors said that if you dont adhear to a very strict diet you will pretty much have to wear a Diaper because of leakage.
I think it is just a way for pharmaceutical companies to capitalize on America's ever-expanding waistline. This diet pill causes horrible side effects (like oily leakage and uncontrollable bowel movements) if someone eats more fat than recommended. Now to avoid these side-effects the company recommends you go on a low-fat, reduced calorie diet. HELLO!! YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT ON A LOW-FAT, REDUCED CALORIE DIET WITHOUT SPENDING $60 A MONTH ON THIS STUPID PILL! i JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND IT. And by the way, just because the FDA has approved it does not make it safe. The FDA has approved many things that have ended up killing people!
If you go to Walmart and read the description of the pill there is one part that really stand out to me that starts out...If you eat a meal with a high fat content then alli⢠works by preventing the absorption of some of the fat you eat. The fat passes out of your body, so you may have bowel changes, known as treatment effects. You may get:
gas with oily spotting
loose stools
more frequent stools that may be hard to control
How are you supposed to work or do anything when this is going on with your body?
And the how and when to start are hilarious. Like wear dark pants and carry a change of clothing and stay home from social events and if you get gassy the best place to be is in a bathroom...(?)
Sounds to me like a VERY EXPENSIVE laxative. Save your money and just get Ex-Lax.
I would not use Alli as it is like Xenical. The side effects are disgusting. You really have to watch the fat that you eat and if you pass gas, well, you don't know if you have had an accident or if it was actually gas. Very embarrasing if you are at work or out in public and this happens.
I am on a weight loss program and I use phendimetrazine. My doctor monitors my weight loss. I have lost 32 pounds in 4 months.
This may be FDA approved, but so are other medications and they should not be.
