Alli diet pill and Synthroid?
Question:
There are no interactions between the two known. In general it is a good idea to be stable on your synthroid before adding other drugs, but even if you are not I don't think that a safety issue would be present. Take your synthroid in the morning and then alli throughout the day as directed on the package.
I wouldn't do it. You risk your metabolism becoming even slower. If you can't lose weight on Synthroid wih diet & exercise (you need to do both) then most likely you aren't at the right morning TSH level which is around 1.0. Another possible reason is you might not be a good converter of T4 into t3. Get a free t3 and find out. If its lower than midrange, a T4/t3 medication may help.
Diet pills shoukd be the last resort. It just may be you aren't on enough medication or that you are on the wrong thyroid medication.
