Is it illegal for someone under 18 to be given diet pills by a parent??

Question:

Answer:
Doubtfully. Diet pills can be purchased from most stores by persons under the age of 18, so I can't imagine that a parent would face charges for giving them to their children.

Before you could make that illegal you would have to make it illegal for parents to feed their children a lot of the fast food garbage that is responsible for our obesity epidemic in the first place.
I should darned well hope so... children have enough issues nowadays with their body image without their parents reinforcing that!
It is against medical advice but I do not think it is illegal unless it is a prescription drug. The parent could always take the child to a doctor and see what the doctor has to say.
I dont think its illegal. its supervised by parent.
It is illegal to give anyone a Rx drug that wasn't prescribed to them by a dr. Parent to child, friend to friend.
