I am doing a research paper on diet pills. I'm confuse because I don't know whether the diet pill is consider a dietary supplements or not, because the definition that I found does not list "diet pills" or "appetite suppresants" as part of the dietary supplements. Please reply fast, my paper is due on Monday.

Dietary supplements are vitamins and herbs. A diet pill is not normally considered one.

No a diet pill is NOT a 'dietary supplement' ... think of the 'ingredients' that make up a piece of fruit, like a tomato (yes, a tomato is a fruit, not a vegetable) ... it has 'vitamins' and 'minerals' that help your body in specific ways. Any of the vitamins or minerals are called 'dietary supplements' and ALL OF THEM can be 'manufactured' and purchased as 'pills' so that may be why you think that a pill to help you lose weight must be a 'dietary supplement' ... it's not, it's an OTC or prescription medication.
