The alli diet pill?

Question:
i have been using the alli diet pill for two days now. i dont fallow the diet plan, because i want to lose weight faster. i eat anywhere between 950-1200 calories and less than 30 fats a day, which are good cals and fats ( fruits, veggies, organic foods, ect.) and i do eat about 5-6 times day. also while doing this i workout everyday, some days more than others. i have been taking alli for 2 days now and have lost 5.2 pounds. =]
in the next 6-7 weeks i want to lose 45-50 pounds (and do take in concideration that alli helps you lose 50% of the weight so, really i want to lose about 30 or so pounds)
do you think its possible?
and if you dont, is there something i can do to increase my chances to reach my goal?
thankyou

Answer:
Eating under 1200 calories a day will slow down your metabolism drastically and send your body into starvation mode most of the time. Good luck!
Be careful with the Alli diet pills. Eating the way you are you will get uncontrolled bowel movement in week 2 or three. 1200 cals is low what amount of protein are you eating?? Do you drink 4 to 6 liters of water a day?? Why don't you check out www.theaaadiet.com it's cheaper and no side effects
Right now you are only increasing your chances of getting sick. When you don't eat enough calories your body goes into starvation mode to protect itself and thus holds onto fat. You aren't eating enough calories though I'm glad to hear you're making them good calories. Alli is a bad choice because it robs your body of fat soluble vitamins .... and it causes explosive diarrhea. The healthy way to lose weight longterm is to eat nutritionally and exercise moderately. Diet pills don't work.
it sounds like you are trying to use the pill to help you crash diet. I'm not going to say that you won't lose weight, b/c in reality a lot of ppl do crash diet and do lose weight, some even up to 20+ pds after awhile. But I also know from experience that as soon as you slip up, it's alllll gonna come back!! That is why, minimum you should eat 12200 cals. a day, don't exhaust yourself during workouts, and that should be a lot better, b/c the weight won't swoosh back on, once you see how hard it is to maintain a 950 cal. a day menu forever. Good Luck though, and be careful.
I don't think that 45-50 lbs in 6-7 weeks is an achievable goal. I would aim for about 2 lbs/week until you reach your weight goal. Please make sure that you are taking a multivitamin as recommended with Alli.

Instead of crash dieting I would suggest you look at the recommendations on the Alli website and follow them. Limiting your calories that drastically may not be a plan that you can follow long term. Better to start out a little higher and stick with it for longer.
By eating less than the recommended calorie and fat intake each day you will not lose weight faster, in fact, you will lose weight slower. I thought I'd lose faster by doing that too, but then, I increased my calories to the 1800 they recommended even though it seemed extremely high, and I started to lose weight faster...

If you are eating any less than 10 grams of fat per meal and taking the alli pill you are wasting your money because the pill actually has to have fat to block in order to work. You can find more about this at myalli.com

Don't listen to anyone who says its a waste of money. I've followed weight watchers for a year, I never went over my points, I dont eat sugar, I eat lots of protein and fiber, and I work out and I only lost 4 lbs in a year. Taking alli I've lost 7 lbs in a month and I've hardly changed what I eat. I still eat lean meats, fruits, veggies, and whole grains.

If what you are afraid of is treatment effects, you can have up to your maximum (whatever it is in the book) fat per meal without TE
