Are there any diet pills or supplements that work?
Question:
Answer:
my mom is taking this alli pill
No
Yes, the diet pill that says eat less and exercise more is the one that has always worked consistently.
Alli works. Its not a 'diet pill' like the kind you are asking about, one that somehow magically gets rid of the weight without you doing anything. (Good luck finding one of those) Alli prevents you from absorbing all of the fat in your food, allowing you to lose more weight than you would if you were only following a healthy diet. Its FDA approved, and is a smaller dose of a drug that is prescibed for obesity. It is available over the counter and there are a few books and lots of helpful info to help you decide if you can commit to a healthy lifestyle (something you have to do while taking this! Or you will have 'side effects' )
After reading all the books I decided I could save my money and just work on changing my lifestyle myself, rather than having to pay for a diet pill.
No. The only pills that work are for thyroid problems and are NOT recommended for normal people. By the way, the Hoodia craze should not be followed. Not only are most of the pills a fraud (labs haven't found a trace of the substance in the pills), but the situation does not apply to regular Americans. The truth is diet and exercise are the only things that work. By diet I don't mean starvation.
