How can I lose 20 pounds in 1 month? (no diet pills)?
Question:
Answer:
I have lost a total of 120 pounds so far.
I lost 105 pounds in my first 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.
Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.
Good LUCK!
Try running a mile a day, or 2.5 on a treadmill. I can run 3 on a good day, I'm only 13, but I love running, and do track so I kind of sort of have to run.
That is way too much to lose in a months time. You should shoot for 2 - 3 lbs a week. Do that by cutting back your calories (never go below 1200) and doing at least 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week.
You can definately do it, but it's going to take some sacrifice and hard work. In the end it will be worth it! You need to:
- start exercising every day (at least 30 minutes of cardio where you work up a sweat)
- cut out almost all (or all) fast food, sweets, fried foods, juice, sodas, alcoholic drinks, chips and excess breads
- eat smaller meals more often throughout the day to keep your metabolism going and your hunger at bay
- eat more fruits, vegetables, water, lean meats (chicken, turkey, fish), and whole grains (read labels at the store for this)
- keep at it! you will see a major difference!!
Good luck!
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.
It is definitely a challenge...but it is possible.I lost 14 pounds in a month. It was not easy but you have to really put your mind into it.Lots of exercise mainly cardio-walking,running,biking and of course...watching my diet.Fiber, protein, lots of salads, preferably no dressing.Lots of water. It is tough but "when there is a will, there is a way".Then the feeling you get.unbelievable.Good luck!
You cannot lose 20 lbs in one month unless you starve yourself. Then once you start eating again, you will gain it back plus some extra (I know, I have done it before). One person did say you should lose approximately 2-3 lbs per week and that is ideal.
It took me ten months to lose 100 lbs by exercising/lifting weights and eating healthy. Although I do not exercise anymore, I have kept most of it off for five years. You can do it but you have to have patients and take it off gradually with a combination of exercisie, eating healthy and drink plenty of water. Good luck
You can't, it's not healthy. You should only loose one to two pounds a week. Go to: www.sparkpeople.com for free diet and weight loss tips. Don't set yourself up for failure by expecting to loose weight that quickly. Wouldn't you be happy with 5 pounds a month instead of none? If you work hard at it the weight will come off (slowly)
