Does the diet pill Alli curb your appetite?
Question:
Answer:
Alli does not curb your appetite or burn fat.
Alli blocks 25% of the fat you eat and eliminates it.
With alli you have to be on a low fat diet, otherwise you can get some unwanted side effects like having to run to the bathroom or an oily leakage,
If you stick to a low fat diet with alli you will approximately lose 50% more weight than if you just dieted.
It's kind of a trade-off, you lose 50% more weight but you have to stay true to 15 grams of fat or less per meal.
according to what i read it blocks all fat cells...I am about to get it this weekend...you have to be very serious when taking it...
No it does nothing to reduce appetite. Though having one of those horrible side effects might turn you off to fatty foods. I know if I crapped my pants after eating a burger I'd never want to eat a burger again. My two cents: don't waste your money. In order for Alli to work you have to commit to changing your lifestyle. So why not just do without the pills and save yourself $60 a month and a potentially embarrassing accident.
This is a long answer I know but I've done some research for you and compiled some info for you.
“We strongly urge people not to use this drug.” ..
strongly tried to get FDA to not approve Alli
..“There’s no evidence of long-term benefits, and [there are] many short-term risks” including gastrointestinal problems, oily spotting and oily gas, and a serious risk of vitamin deficiency...also points to several studies that showed the drug can lead to precancerous lesions in the colon.
.......
taking Alli can also deprive your system of fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, E, D and K, you should supplement it with a daily multivitamin
......
“The drug works right away, so it really depends on how much you’re eating and how much fat is in your diet. But if you’re exercising and lowering your overall calories while taking the drug, you can lose more than you would by just taking the drug and not altering your lifestyle. “It does allow you to lose more weight than if you only diet and exercise. But if you don’t lose 2 pounds within the first month, then [Alli] probably is not going to work for you.” And if it does work, you’re only going to lose “a few more pounds a month … nothing more than what” you would with just diet and exercise shifts.
....“This drug causes you not to absorb some vitamins, so you’ll need to take a multivitamin

Alli costs roughly 60 cents a pill — about $2 per day, with one pill taken at each meal. Six months is the maximum suggested period of use
WOW. this just tells me that my $3 a day for what I do is even better! Want info on a healthy, safe way to lose weight without dieting that works, contact me... I didn't believe it either until my husband and I both lost weight, kept it off, and feel a 1000% better with more energy, to boot!

No it does not..its just a fat blocker.
No, Alli is not an appetite suppressant. But, Alli is a complete waste of money. If anyone ever read the warnings or the info on their web site, nobody would take the stuff.
The reality is, in the manufacturer's own tests before they released the product, people who took Alli lost less than 1 lb a month more over the course of 12 months than people taking a placebo. You should just find out what the placebo was and go with that.
