I need a doctors help. What will happen to an overweight 14 year old taking diet pills?
Question:
Answer:
I'm not a doctor, but someone so young should be careful before using diet pills. A growing body can react to different chemicals in different ways. A better way to go would be to see your doctor and ask about healthy ways to lose weight. Some weight loss organizations, such as Weight Watchers, allow members under age 18 with a parent's/doctor's permission. Good luck and say positive!
they will lose weight but will be unhealthy
probably nothing except for an increased heart rate. But you will not loose any weight those pills are useless. The only thing that will help you loose weight is intense exercise such as running, eliptic trainer, raquetball/tennis or a sport like boxing. Join a sport club or do any of these things and you will see the weight melt off (literally). Oh yeah and don't use food for comfort only eat enough to not be hungry and try to eat small portions every 2 hours - that way you are never hungry. Forget the stupid diet pills, its the equivalent of drinking too much coffee or red bull.
That depends on how your health is, and how many pills you took, and what time frame you took them in. If you're not sure about any of this, or you think you might have taken too many, go get medical help immediately.
If you're still reading this, then consider this: Asking questions like this here is like asking your mechanic how to grow geraniums. He might know a lot about it - he might not. But you don't know if he's correct either way, and you don't know if he's even qualified to try to answer. Someone may say they're a doctor, but a real doctor won't try to diagnose a problem over the net - they will insist on seeing you, on examining you, and on running tests first. So if I was you, I wouldn't trust any answers you get here.
