Have you tried Alli Diet pills?

Question:
Has anyone tried the new Alli diet pill if so how is it working for them ?..Any Results?

Answer:
I haven't used them, but I know a lot about it--it's prescription form is Orlistat (Xenical).

It's too bad---so many people look at Alli and think, "Hey.it's FDA approved so it must be safe and work well."

No, not really. You still have to diet and exercise while taking it. If you were to go on a diet and exercise plan without Alli and let's say you lost 20lbs. Then let's say you went on that same diet and exercise program WITH Alli...you would lose a grand total of 23-24lbs. It's not worth it, considering the side effects:
oily spotting;
oily or fatty stools;
orange or brown colored oil in your stool;
gas with discharge, an oily discharge;
an urgent need to go to the bathroom;
an inability to control bowel movements, or;
an increased number of bowel movements.

When a drug company tells you to carry extra clean pants with you at all times while taking this, is that something you really want to worry about (because you WILL have an accident at some point if you take this--it is just a matter of WHERE) for 2-4 more pounds?
Believe me...this is what I do. I would just eat less, eat better and exercise.you don't need pills.
no but I want to!
Have you tried not eating so much and exercise.
I was going to use them...but my doctor told me that you can have uncontrolled diarrhea...and that it wasn't the best choice for me because I am a very active person...thats the worst side effect...the diarrhea is extremely watery and sometimes you can't control it
no, I don't really feel like pooping in my pants which is a major side effect.
Have not tried but will work as long as low fat. Otherwise, look out.
my mom talks a lot about her diet pills and yes she tried Alli she said that it works really well she lost 5 pounds in a week and a half
they make you sh*t a whole lot if you eat over a certain amount of fat so it won't be absorbed into your body...by the way Miss B did you go to PVHS in PA?
I have not tried Alli but from what I read it is alot like Xenical and I did take that. it will block fat so your body does not absorb any of the fat you ingest. which is pretty much fine unless you eat something high in fat. then you have problems... a bright orange oil problem to be exact. the worst part of it all is it is very uncontrollable. so sometimes what feels like a fart turns out to be more than expected. I would only recommend this if you could REALLY stick to a low fat diet.
