Diet Pills, Weight loss, and Leakage...?
Question:
Let's suppose that any one of these pills, or another yet to be invented, has a 100% (no room, at all, for doubt) success rate with melting fat and keeping it off: on this pill you are GAURENTEED to loss weight. However, let's further suppose that the chances of "leakage" are 80-100%...
do you still take the pill? Why or why not?
Anyone out there who has stopped taking weight loss pills because of "leakage?"
Answer:
I would not take the pills because even if I didn't eat too fattening foods it would be so limiting. Then you could never have "fat" foods...even for special occasion. And who wants to get...leakage on furniture and clothing. Not to mention if it happened at work, a friends house, or when you are just out and about. I would rather be fat then have to worry about leaking.
I once tried these pills too... and I know of the problem you talk of... However, the theory is that you only get the embarrasing problem if you still eat too much fat...
The pills will cause the problem if you eat anything with over 10% fat content... So it encourages you to find healthier, lower fat, options in order to avoid it.
Of course, if you do eat anything fatty, then you can be sure the fats will not be absorbed... but that means they have to go somewhere!
These pills should only ever be used to help change your habbits... Basically, if you eat healthier, lower fat foods, the problems are minimal and if you do this over time, you get into the routine of eating helathier... Then you can come off the pills and simply continue with your new lifestlye.
Thinking that these pills are a magic "fat melting" solution that will let you lose weight while doing nothing about bad habbits is a common misconception... And sadly one that a lot of doctors also believe...
