Seems that people r still fat&/ or killing themselves. What did people do BEFORE diet pills & antidepressants?
Question:
Answer:
Minded their own business without telling others how they should live.
We walked everywhere. We didn't sit on our butts all day at a computer. Kids actually went out and played and scraped their knees and bumped their heads and rode bikes. People didn't eat out 5+ nights a week, and fruit was the snack of choice and cookies were a rare treat. People were busy, now people are bored.
All in a time when convenience wasn't Americas priority.
Worked hard and enjoyed the simple things in life.
Novel Idea isn't it.
Used to be that people didn't have the time or food available to get fat. Long ago, being overweight and pasty white was a good thing, because it showed you had enough money to avoid being out in the sun exerting yourself. Now I guess it has swung the other way and fit people are the ones with the time to hit the gym.
Well, I work hard and don't have time to overeat, or be depressed. I sometimes think being depressed is another name for bored to death- I have yet to meet a really busy person who is depressed. People tell me how lucky I am to be thin and healthy, I'm 54 had two heart attacks before my lifestyle change and now can outwork men in their 20's under the table.Pills and antidepressants are the easy answers, people want it all easy.
