It depends!
Pills which boost your thyroid function will help IF your thyroid is low or underactive. Similarly, pills which suppress appetite such as Hoodia may help if you are overweight because you overeat. But they won't help if overeating isn't your problem, or if you overeat because of cravings caused by blood sugar/insulin imbalance or food allergies.
Pills containing chromium, magnesium and calcium (and many other vitamins and minerals) may also help if you do not take in enough of these nutrients with your diet or if you do not absorb them properly / have a particularly high requirement for them.
Pills which speed up your metabolism may help, but it is by no means proven that all pills which claim to do this do actually do so. Taking this type of pill is also fraught with danger because some types have serious side effects, eg affecting your heart.
Losing weight successfully is unfortunately not a simple matter of restricting calories (or taking a 'diet pill') for many people. There are lots of factors that can affect a person's ability to lose weight. We are all individuals - no single diet or weight loss method suits all. It is important to identify and eliminate all those factors that affect you personally. A 'diet pill' that works for someone else might not work for you, for all the above reasons.

Fat blasters are ok... but make you feel find of sick.
I don't care what you told me not to say, it's FACT. Diet pills do not work! Only reason people have said they do is diet pills supply more confidence. This makes them try to eat less and exercise. That is the ONLY thing that works! Diet pills might give you a little extra boost of energy, but regardless, they are all a JOKE.
