Is there a safe diet pill that can be taken being very obese and with a small heart condition?

Question:
My mom is 52 and is double her ideal body weight. She has bad knees, hips and back. She is somewhat active but can't do strenuous activities due to health problems. She has a heart murmur so she can't intake alot of caffeine. She is border-line diabetic. She needs something that can safely boost her metabolism without raising her heart rate too much.

Answer:
There is no appetite depressant that doesn't raise your heart rate in turn boosting your metabolism. My suggestion is to talk with her doctor and a dietician and get on a low carb diet...it limits fats, protein, sugar and of course she should be followed by someone. How about Weight Watchers?..good program..just a little exercise..walking at a general pace to increase her metbolism...I had success on a low carb diet and lost about 30 lbs in 3 months..I cut out all fast food, ate lots of baked chicken and vegatables..lean meats, fruit..diet drinks...just cutting out all of the junk and eating healthy makes a great difference..good luck to you and your mom.
there is no diet miracle pill otherwise we would all be skiiny. Have your mom see the nutritionist and get the diabetic diet (she does not have to be diabetic) the weight falls off quick following the ADA diet. Have her walk everyday a little farther each time. there are exercises she can do in a chair. cable tv has many exercise channels she can do at home
