yes it could be an allergy. My sister tryed those pills a few years ago and they didn't work. Basically, she was watching what she was eatting while she was taking those pills and lost the same amount of weight she would have without taking them.

You might have an allergy to it, even tho there may not be hives, chronic itching is a sign of allergy.
It definately sounds like a begining of an allergy. The next stage is a rash, I would definately recommend that you stop taking them at once.
