I have never been on Phentermine but I do know that it was taken off the market a few years ago and has just recently been allowed to come back on. I would be careful with the drug for any purpose.
I have taken it on 3 different occasions. The first (and best) time I lost 90# in 6 months. I never really exercised either. I skipped eating alot and ate mostly frozen diet dinners (Lean Cuisine, etc.). Because I lost the weight so fast I developed gall stones and had to have my gall bladder removed. Immediately after surgery I was taken off of Fastin. I know I would have gained some weight back but I ended up having something very traumatic happen and I slowly gained it all back. I took it again and lost 55# in 2 1/2 months. When the midwife prescribing it lost her job I was unable to lose any more weight. I gained that back as well. Right now I'm on my second day. All I've eaten in 2 days is 2 Cheetos and a bite of watermelon. I am grossly obese and just want to get a good start. For me, Fastin is like a wonder drug. It doesn't just curb my appetite, it helps me concentrate, gives me energy, motivates me psychologically, stabilizes my mood, and makes me an all around stronger person. If I could only find an antidepressant or some psychopharmacalogical med that could work for me like Fastin does I would be at my very best. There were no "withdrawals."
