Has anyone had REAL results from any over the counter diet pills?
Question:
Answer:
Please do not try diet pills because they are not the long term answer and many can cause negative health effects.
The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as white potatoes) and drink lots of water.
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/p...
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Trimspa does curve your appetite but you just don't lose any weight
The REAL result was that I gained weight!
Only when I was mentally willing, I lost weight and became fitter!
Not ones without ephedra, those worked like magic!
NO they are all herbal and there isnt enough of anything in them to actually work. Its all a rort.
Stacker II. Makes you a little shaky but it works.
My hubby weighs 243, He's tried them all. Haven't found one that works yet. I told him just eat vegetarian with some occasional meat as a treat. I weigh 105 even though I have low thyroid, so I know it works.
I can't tell you which pills are FDA approved, if any over the counter pills are, because most are on the market as 'herbs' and claim to help you lose weight. Others are no more than caffeine, which may increase your metabolism but also your heart rate.
I do know that the 'diet pill' industry is a multibillion dollar industry and if any of them were really effective, obesity wouldn't still be the nations biggest health problem. I found a way to lose 174 lbs in 6 weeks..I divorced him...
Diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight and keep it off..but the only weight loss pills I've taken were Zantrex-3 and Cortislim. After taking the Zantrex-3 for about 2 days, I was so wired that I probably lost weight from all the running around. I lost around 20-25 lbs in the first 10 weeks. I had gained back most of the weight (because I did not eat right and exercise), but it no longer worked. Cortislim was an all around waste.
I don't believe any of them have been approved.
FYI...Hula hooping is a great way to work your stomach (if that's problem area) once you get the hang of it. Just do it for about 15 min. a day. Dancing also gives you a great workout- so TURN IT UP AND HAVE FUN!!
Sorry but had to laugh at Sashia Cali's ending remark lol =) .
Go natural!
Personally I think 100% Hoodia in tablets is best!
Check with your doctor before starting any weight loss program.
I tried many diet pills/shakes/bars with no or little results.
Than I tried Hoodia and...
Hoodia has worked for me...and with no side effects.
For all you doubters, here is the prior feedback for another Answers user who followed my advice:
Asker's Rating: *****

**** VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO GET RIPPED OFF ---
#1. Be sure you are buying pure Hoodia...look for the import certificate on the website. No matter the price, if they do not display this, you really do NOT know what you are getting!
#2. Be sure it is 100% Hoodia & not mixed w/other herbs, etc.!!
#3. Keep in mind it stops your hunger pangs…you MUST remember to break your habit to always eat at certain times.
#4. Drink a full 8oz. glass of water with it!
Hoodia (HOOD-ee-uh) gordonii - A genus of 10 to 20 species from southwestern Africa.
Hoodia gordonii is the stoneage wonder plant found throughout the dry arid regions of the South western African continent now on the verge of making history in the fight against obesity. It is a genus belonging to the Asclepiadaceae family which consists of approximately 20 species. Used to stop hunger, quench thirst, and provide energy among other things since prehistoric times, Hoodia gordonii was first discovered by the San tribesmen and women to get through the most difficult of times.

I have been trying NV for 2 days now. I know that is not long enough to show any signs, however, I have had no hunger pains. It clearly decreases that amount of food that I want. Plus I have been going to the gym and eating a well balanced meal of small, small portions.
