Diet pills and losing weight?

Question:
Okay, How old do you have to be to buy diet pills? And what are the best kind? And also, any ideas on how to lose at least five pounds in one week? Please, any helpful answers are appreciated

Answer:
Please do not try diet pills because they are not the long term answer and many can cause negative health effects. Consider a healthy lifestyle change.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/...

Get an online, desktop, or cell phone diet and fitness calculator. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.ht...
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/w...

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier.

Okay here it is the ONLY way to lose weight=and keep it off
8 glasses of water
3 protein
3 starch
4 vegetables
3 fruit
2 dairy
2 fat
1 (100 calorie) treat
eat that every day and your body will expect the calories so your body can lose weight. This is the right way. If you don't eat you will lose that 5 pounds and then put it right back on again and then some.
Good luck and enjoy.
Diet pills are not a good way to lose weight. For one, you are spending money that you shouldn't have to! Eating healthy and exercising will do the trick itself (which you would have to STILL do when you take the pills). The pills are only supposed to be an aid to exercising and eating healthy, so its not as if you are getting off the hook. Also, people tend to eat more calories when taking pills because they believe the pills will do the work to burn their fat, and therefore they don't cut down nearly as much as they should. most pills require you to be 18 to buy them and cost between $20-$60 a bottle. You may need to use at least a few bottles a month.. why spend all of that money when you will get long lasting results from eating healthy.
Aim for about 1600 calories a day and 30 min. of exercise or more by walking, running, biking, rollerblading, swimming, or whatever you choose. Good luck
Losing weight should be taken seriously - not just to fit into a dress or attract someone of the opposite sex. A lifestyle change is necessary for permanent weight loss. Fads do not really help with lifestyle change and many can injure your body. So start by reducing your intake to 50% - do this over a week. Of course, you have to remember that healthy foods are important, less fat, less sugar, do not have too much protein etc. Then increase your exercise to an hour over that same week. Rest and spiritual awareness is also handy when it comes to lifestyle changes. So consider this as well. I am happy to chat if u wish and am online now as lynfritz.
Diet Pills are not recommended. They are dangerous even when they say "all natural"some diet pills speed up your metabolism which speeds up your heart rate and can result in some serious issues. They can also cause complications such as high blood pressure and low blood sugar.

Losing 5 pounds in one week is not exactly healthy either. The safest amount to lose in one week is 2 pounds. There is no magic to losing weight.
You can still eat your favorite foods, but in limited amounts. I am not saying starve yourself, I am just saying cut back on things.
Don't consume fatty foods and sweets everyday of the week. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies. Drink plenty of water and get excercise. Don't overdo it with the excercise. A brisk walk for 30 minutes a day is plenty. People tend to think that they have to do a lot of hard excercises in order to lose weight and that is not true. Too much of something is not good for you.

When you eat, make sure you balance your meals with both carbs and protein. That helps balance out your blood sugar which will help curve your appetite. You don't have to eat until you are full.

Oh yes, stay away from the scales. If you step on the scales every week or every day or whatever, you will only get discouraged and want to give up. Once a month is how often you should way yourself.

It takes discipline and it takes a lot of effort . Keep in mind, you did not gain weight overnight so it is not going to go away overnight
