Fax machine online?

Question:

Does anyone use a fax service that works through email? Does it work ok? What about sending faxes? Primarily I need to recieve faxes.

What services do you use and how much do they cost?

they have free trial. They give you one dollar when you start, and charge 12 cents per page. Works fine if the other person have sex a separate fax and phone numbers. If they use their phone to receive faxes, it's not good.
Do not use fax4free.com, efax, evoice, jfax and their subsidiaries. They are scammers. When you sign in for a "free" trial, they ask for your credit card number, and when you send faxes on "free trial", you pay for them even if they do not come through, and if you want to cancel you can't do it on-line, but have to call them, and then they say that you must fax them some form or something, and refuse to cancel until your trial is over, and then they charge you a monthly fee!

Yes, I have used numerous virtual internet fax services and they work great. There are several RECEIVE-ONLY fax services available which come with free voicemail-to-email too.

There are great paid services which provide much better features and handing as low as $2.50/month and include dozens of faxes/year.

But you should be aware that there are various considerations before settling on any of the free or paid services -- like file formats, delivery options, availability, local numbers, toll-free, etc.
