Dial up online and receive fax at same time?

you only can receive a fax by email at the same time..., and sending you will need a scanner to do it over the internet..with dial-up you have 2 options, I have used both.

With dial up, that's not possible. If you are online, the fax machine will receive a busy signal.
Have you looked at DirecTV or Dish for high speed? They are pricey ($99 a month when I last checked) but it may be a solution if you have a business.
it would have helped if you could get ISDN..
Any two calls can be made at the same time.
But as you are living in a rural area..and most probably working from a tower network( correct me if I'm wrong) ..you will only have access to one line ..outgoing or incoming at one time.
The best would be to get a V_Sat connection in you area... you get a high speed data line 128 or 256 or 512Kbps and with that two normal Telephone lines.
It should work you out 150 to 180 dollars a month...

there is a progtram called fax talk i belive you can get it for free but you cant be online to use it but i will let you send faxs with a scanner or you can use a fax site called trustfax.com it cost but you can use it online and not have to have a scanner to send things
