Can a regular burner burn a business card cd-r?

Question:
I'm not quite sure of the logic in how the cd burner would recognize its weird shape...

Answer:
Yes. A business card CD-R plays and burns on a regular burner or player. We've tried it recently at work so I know it works.
Shape does not matter, the card is written from the inside edge outward, there is a small ring on the platter of the CD tray, the card will sit there and will not be affected by the shape, size determines the amount of data you can write to the disc, but will not interfere with the burner's ability to write to it
