Does Business Credit Card build up the person's credit?
Question:
Answer:
Most business cards even though they may have your name on them do not list you on the actual account, you are authorized to use the card but get no credit personally for it.
It may and it may not, it depends on how the credit issuer reports the account. If they report the payments under your name personally at the same time they do the business, it will affect your personal credit history. Caveat! If they do the balance will go against your personal debt to income ratio and may put you out of limits for mortgages and loans.
No. Its not really in your name...the card is the responsibilty of the corporation/business that issued it to you. It won't show up on your credit report, which is a GOOD thing, because a large travel bill/balance could hurt your rating.
However, if you use the card fradulently, you'll be fired and be responsible for the charges, and your company would probably put something in your credit report that is quite nasty.
It will as long as the business is not a corporation.
