Faux gloss for home printed business cards?

Question:
what is used on home printed business cards to get a faux gloss finish?

Answer:
Buy glossy paper at an office supply store, but make sure your printer can print on that type of paper. Some papers are not compatable with certain printers so they end up smudging.
Not sure what you mean, but if the whole thing is somewhat shiny, it's probably just the paper that's used. If it's just the text, it could be a photocopy used with "heat transfer paper" on top.
