Why do the business card/label templates for word seem to all have margin?

Question:
This really makes it hard for me as I'm printing off A4 paper and trimming it down myself.

I'd just like some simple templates of about A6 size (Max) with no margins then I'd have no hassle... just I don't know how to make my own templates.

Answer:
You can customise the size and margins of labels in Word. From the Tools menu choose Envelopes and Labels. Click on the Label tab and click Options. Find the label size that suits you best by looking at the details under Label Information. Click on the Details button and make whatever changes to the margins and label height and width you want. You will be able to see a preview of the changes that you make. Enter a name for your Custom Labels and click OK. Then fill in the details for each label. If you choose to print to a New Document you will be able to view them on a page before actual printing.
I would suggest using MS Publisher instead of Word. You can set margins the same as your card media. I hope that this helps.
