Hello everyone. FIrst of all, I am 21 years old and am a budding magician. I do close up and card magic. Recently I have been booked to do a fair next weekend. So I am wanting to make a business card to have on hand at the fair to pass out as I do my tricks to advertise so say I do bday parties and such. Besides bday parties, what would someone book a magician for? Thanks for your help. I wanna know what to list on my card.

I am the Outreach coordinator for an Art Museum. I often use performers for my programs. YMCA's, local organizations, corporate parties, summer camps, Non-profits tend to hire performers for fundraisers.
Emphasize your flexibility and willingness to tailor a program to the clients needs. You may also want to grab an artsy friend- see if you can get them involved in face painting. It is really easy and with some glitter and jewels the kids are always happy. The combo makes for a killer marketing advantage.
I have a friend who just randomly does magic. Everywhere. We were in NYC in the hotel lobby at two o'clock in the morning, and he was doing card tricks. Magically, magic works everywhere.
They always need entertainers at trade shows.
How about wedding receptions and family reunions.
Make your services known at your chamber of commerce and other cities that are close enough for you to go to.
