Business Card Q.?

Question:
I need to get business cards made up and would like to have my companies logo put on it. Any idea how the best way to go about doing that would be and where would be the best place to get it done?

Answer:
Hi,

Business cards could be great marketing and promoton tools for your business. Yes, definitely there are ways to do a good business card. Here are my tips:

•As much as possible create a business card that is unique from the rest. A different business card would eventually catch the attention of many as well as impress a lot of people.

•Make sure your business cards could be scanned so people could easily take hold of your business in the long run.

•Make sure your business cards are in a standard format so they could fit into binders.

• Put all the basic (important) information on your card like name, contact numbers, url, logo, company’s name, address, etc.

• Provide a short description about your company.

•Make sure you also have your picture printed on your cards.

•A corporate tagline on the back also provides extra company recognition.

• If your business includes two or more countries, provide the native language of those countries.

If you want to do it cheaply - you can buy card stock, it comes 10 to a page in 8x11, and then use the MS-Word wizard to create your card, you can embed your logo on it, print in color and, voila, looks good -

You can have them off-set printed, and if you get enough business just take your now "camera ready" card - Kinko's will make them for you cheap and quick.
there are so many companies that make cards. The best thing to do would be go out and collect some cards. Make a list of the characteristics that you like. When you figure out exactly what you want get at least 3 quotes from various companies. Most companies will charge you a set up fee, some will charge you one time and others each time. Also ask about their turn around time and the shipping. Do you get a quantity discount? Ask about the extra charges for multi color. Is there an additional charge for embossed (raised) print work.

Hope that helps

Good luck!

this card is going to represent you and your business... my advice, don't go cheap. while printing them yourself is economic, it is not a good idea. kinkos, ups store, office max at the very least. try look at an online service
So easy.you can even have kinko's do it/
Send them a high res image of your logo and how you would like the card to look. Or save it on a disk and take it in with you.

Or any local printer...(look under www.whitepages.com and for business type plug in printer and then the city you are in...it will give you closest..)

The cost is in the set up plates...so instead of printing 250 you might as well print 500...Make sure they email you a proof of your card.it will cost more if you want one color, two color three color or FULL color, and then the paper stock.(a 10pt ior higher s always a good choice)

Or if you just need a few to start, go to OfficeMax and buy business card paper (they are precut apart) and set up the design on your computer...google it and find templates..or if you are running 2000 it is on there.

I once impressed and left a lasting impression during an interview where I made up my own card...within 24 hours ....

Normal printers ask for up to a week...
