What type of printer and ink do i need to start a greeting card business?

Question:
I am doing a school project, but i am also creative and artistically gifted and would like to really give it a try someday. i just can't find, in the internet, what type of printer i would need to print high quality cards!!
A color Photo Quality laser printer is at http://costco.com and costco stores, with huge discounts for Thanksgiving after the 20th, $100 OFF?! By HP !! I think it is $399 now...

And, if you figure it out, and start selling them, remember that you want to use all your own artwork, so you don't get sued into oblivion, and you should probably do it all in The GIMP so try it out, all is free, in http://pclinuxos.com which includes 4400 programs, and is like a Mac on the PC, upto 50X faster than wimdoze on the same machine.
A laser printer would be the most professional. I am not sure you can compete with professional printers, though, even on customized cards. The blank cards run about 0.35 and the ink is expensive, too.
To print greeting card business , you can purchase deskjet 5440, 5940 or 6940 printer . To print best quality photos or pictures , install both photo and tri-color cartridge .
You will need a good photo printer,I have a HP and it is good.
