I am a welder and want to make business cards and want to know where i can get welding icons on the internet.

You could use Yahoo or Altavista.com to search for images (gif, jpg, graphics) using the "weld" or "welding" search term. Most results are helmets, gloves, equipment, and torch. If you use a photcard, the photos would not be hard to use, otherwise look for a nice line graphic. Commercial business card vendors will have a standard welding logo, but it isn't for private use. Please note the images on the web may be subject to copyright use, and not reproduced or used without permission.
You could usa a digital camera take a picture of the helmet and torch, then use software like Photoshop to modify the graphic. Alternatively, if you're good with a mouse, use the paint spray feature in Photoshop with a gray/bronze color to make a simulated penny "weld" of the text "Welding" on your business card. Hope this gives you some ideas.
