I am trying to conduct business with companies in Qingdao, China, why don't accept credit card or Paypal?

Question: They all accept bank transfers and Western Union, which is very difficult to do as W.U. has a lot of rules. Is there a reason for this? Or are they all just "shady"?

Nope, not shady.this is just the way their part of the globe deals.

Dale Carnegie used to say in his book "how to win friends and influence people" that you should always "speak the other person's language" and that's how the world runs. If you want to deal with them (China) you have to deal on their terms.
